He is as menacing as Darth Vader but more frightening because he is real. He can crush you with a glance and a word in Rebecca Wade's ear. He is so powerful that Tony Blair has not paused sucking up to him in ten years.

But everyone has their good side and, like Fox News, ak13 believes in being Fair and Balanced. And so, we present ten reasons to love Rupert.

1. Many think of Murdoch as a man that fires rather than hires, most notably because of his involvement in the union-busting 1985 printers' dispute. But consider how many jobs he has created by turning failing newspapers into success stories and setting up new TV stations. Many a family has Murdoch to thank for the food on their table.

2. Murdoch is also a good family man himself. His media empire is, in many ways, the world's largest family business, employing three of his four kids. His son James recently became the Chief Executive of Sky, for example.
